Books for Sale
Just as there are many different ways that the Friends support the Library there are many different ways for you to support the Friends.
Volunteer
Volunteers are valued and play an important role in our library. Volunteers act as Greeters, Computer Room Monitors, Shelvers, Book Room Sales Assistants and more. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer send an email to janice.kirby@brunswickcountync.gov
Donate Gently Used Books
Donated books may be put into circulation or sold to raise needed cash to help fund library programming. Books may be dropped off at the library.
Give through the Amazon Smile program
If you shop through Amazon, consider designating the “Friends of the Library at Hickmans Crossroads” as your favorite charitable organization. When you shop at smile.amazon.com, they will donate an amount equal to 0.5% of eligible purchases to the Friends at no cost to you.
Become a Friend
When you become a Friend, you join with a group of people who are interested in actively and financially supporting the library on an ongoing basis. To join the Friends of the Library Southwest Brunswick Branch, please visit our Become a Friend page.
Become a Donor
Many supporters choose to make a one-time or recurring donation, either in addition to, or instead of, becoming a Friend. If you would like to make a donation to the Friends, you may do so through Paypal or by making out a check to the FOL Southwest Brunswick Branch Library and dropping it off at the circulation desk.

Putting a new book into circulation is a wonderful way to celebrate an occasion or to honor the memory of a loved one. You can help choose the title and a bookplate will be inserted to acknowledge the donation.
Purchase from the Book Sale Room
Hardcover and paperback books in good to excellent condition are available, along with DVD's, music CDs, puzzles, and children’s books. Most books are one dollar or less.
