If you share our love of books and libraries, we invite you to join us and become a Friend. Dues are paid annually and there is a membership level for every budget! The Friends is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and meetings are open to all members.
Our organization
“Friends of the Southwest Brunswick Branch Library” may be a lot of words, but we are organized for a single purpose: to support the development of excellent library service for all residents throughout Brunswick County. We are a nonprofit membership organization made up entirely of volunteers who are passionate about the importance of the role of our library within the community.

The Friends of the Library is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization, so your donations are tax deductible.
We are pleased to now offer two methods for making donations:
Online (preferred) through Zeffy
No fees* to you or to the Friends of the Library - Southwest Brunswick Branch Library
Streamlined process (auto-generated confirmation, tax receipts, etc.)
*At time of checkout, Zeffy presents an "optional" donation to Zeffy to enable Zeffy to provide the free, online payment processing system to nonprofit organizations. If you do not want to make a donation to Zeffy, just select Other in drop-down field and leave amount blank.

How we spend our funds
The money we collect through member dues, donations, grants, and fundraising is all used to purchase new books, movies, library equipment and supplies, sponsor programs for children and adults, and support the library staff in meeting their goals in our community.
